SCUBA DIVING

Discover Scuba diving - Skylodge Resort Coron

Your dream of exploring the abundant marine sanctuaries of Coron, Palawan, is now made possible with our Discover Scuba Diving (DSD). The island has become one of the havens of divers in the Philippines, showcasing its dive sites filled with vibrant coral reefs, diverse groups of fish, and famous shipwrecks. Professional and newbie divers have memorable experiences in the famous dive sites of Coron, such as Irako wreck, Akitsushima wreck, Siete Pecados, Barracuda Lake, and more amazing places. Divers recommend from November to April as the best weather for diving, and it is also the time that the visibility underwater is at its best.

Our Discover Scuba Diving or DSD is a quick introduction to what it takes to dive into the underwater of Coron. SkyLodge Resort has professional dive masters ready to provide proper training to interested tourists. With the branded new equipment in our dive shop, we are excited to bring you out diving or snorkeling in the best dive spots of the island

TRAINING AND DIVING WITH OUR GUESTS

Here is a sneak peek of how our divemasters trained a Filipino actress and model, Wilma Doesnt, and her family. They are all first-timers in taking our Discover Scuba Diving. Their initial training took place at our deep pool suitable for diving. After a short coaching with our guests, we will bring them to their underworld journey. WATCH THIS VIDEO!

Meanwhile, our guests from Manila have also tried our DSD. After island hopping, they are on a new getaway with us for a Coron, Palawan Scuba Diving adventure. Since the tourists are all first-timers, our scuba divemaster shared tips on the proper use of diving gears and breathing techniques while underwater. For the first location of scuba diving, we headed towards Coron Youth Club (CYC) beach. A powdery white-sand with some mangrove trees growing on the crystal-clear waters, making the place paradise-like. It is the best spot for first-time divers to practice, as it is shallow. Hooray! The guests are now good to go for shipwreck diving after training them at CYC beach.

At East Tangat Shipwreck, we guided the travelers as we dived towards the seafloor. They say that the ship sunk on September 24, 1944, during World War II. Some believed that the wrecked ship was either a tugboat or an anti-submarine craft. What’s interesting here is the Nemo fish swimming around the vibrant coral reefs. It is a day to remember for the tourists, as they enjoyed the shipwreck diving that only happened during their stay at SkyLodge Resort. WATCH THIS VIDEO!
